But after a week they were happy to return to Juniper Hill Inn and roam around without leashes.
They spent the next four days with us at our historic Juniper Hill Inn and experienced a once in a lifetime adventure – a balloon ride that took them over the hills along the banks of the Connecticut River and over the beautiful Quechee Gorge which is very close to our inn. We landed and hour and a half later in a farmers field off route five just North of Windsor, Vermont. The trip was under the expert guidance of Derreck whom, along with his wife, owns and operates Balloons of Vermont – www.balloonsofvermont.com – he commented “I haven’t laughed so much in ten years!”. The VINS 2nd Annual Mountain Wine & Cheese Festival was held on Sept. 12 -09 and Juniper Hill Inn was there serving Apple Cider Pumpkin Soup and Apricot stuffed Pork Loin w/Moroccan Spices and Grand Mainer Caramel Drizzle – It was a great night to meet all the supporters of nature vild life.
